About The Opportunity
Want to sharpen your marketing skills at a high-growth real estate company founded by Brandon Turner—and get in on the ground floor of something big?

Better Life Real Estate Funding (BetterLife REF) is seeking a creative, resourceful, detail-oriented Marketing Intern who can wear many hats, think strategically, and execute relentlessly. We’re looking for a marketing rock star—a DOER and a STRATEGIZER—who thrives on rolling up their sleeves, learning fast, and making a real impact.

This isn’t a run-of-the-mill internship. You’ll get hands-on responsibility, real projects, and a front-row seat to how to scale a business. Some of our top leaders (including our CEO and multiple VPs/managers) started as interns—proof that we take this role seriously.

Here, you’ll never be “just the intern.” From day one, you’ll contribute meaningfully, learn directly from industry leaders, and build marketable skills in copywriting, automation, social strategy, and analytics—all while joining a company where values actually matter.

Who We Are
BetterLife REF is a private, hard money lender built by real estate investors, for real estate investors. We offer fast and flexible financing solutions, backed by white-glove service designed to create lifelong lending partnerships with our borrowers. We live and breathe our Core Values and expect any new hires to do the same:

  • No Suits: We reject the idea that business needs to feel like the film "Office Space." This rejection of the toxic aspects of corporate culture includes everything from the clothes we wear and the hours we work, down to the very methods in which we conduct business -- no dress codes, no politics, no bureaucracy, no B.S. Work should be meaningful, collaborative, and even fun.
  • Extreme Ownership, Extreme Collaboration: We rebel against micromanagement; we self-manage, self-motivate, and self-regulate. We take initiative and can run with little direction. We demonstrate accountability, ownership, and independence. But we also work together as an insanely high-performing team, communicating and collaborating closely across vast distances, leveraging our individual superpowers. As a whole we are greater than the sum of our parts. Our wins are never owned by one person but shared by the team.
  • Life Outside Work Matters More: Work is vital to life, but we don't kid ourselves: we know that the life we live outside work is infinitely more important than what we're doing at work. Therefore, we encourage one another to live a full, abundant life - however each person defines that. Work should support the life each person wants to lead, not the other way around.
  • Relentless Improvement: In our business and in each of our roles, we take "mastery" of our craft seriously, and believe that if we can improve, we must improve. This means we are constantly growing, learning, expanding, innovating, and always seeking to be the best at what we do. We set high standards and tirelessly chase perfection. Every member of ODC is a top-performer and should be the envy of our competition. We don't half-ass anything. We continuously seek improvement and strive for excellence in all that we do.
  • Good People Doing Good: Every member of ODC is someone we would voluntarily hang out with. We all possess integrity, honesty, humility, and dependability. Simply put: we are good people. Furthermore, we are working together to make a positive impact on those we serve, including our investors, residents, contractors, partners, and the communities in which we operate. We believe that everyone who conducts business with us can win, and that our success doesn’t need to be at the expense of others. We are good people doing good.
