Position Overview:
We are seeking an independent contractor to serve as a part-time District Project Manager, overseeing infill and rehab projects across four manufactured home communities in the Springfield, MO area. This is a 1099 contractor position, ideal for a self-motivated individual with a flexible schedule who can be our “boots on the ground.” The role involves conducting weekly site visits, managing project timelines, and ensuring quality work by contractors. You will report to the Infill Project Manager, who works remotely, and will serve as the on-site liaison for ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly site visits to monitor infill and rehab project status, progress, and work quality.
  • Coordinate and meet with contractors on-site to ensure adherence to project requirements and timelines.
  • Provide regular updates and detailed reports to the remote Infill Project Manager.
  • Address and troubleshoot on-site issues as they arise and facilitate communication between contractors and management.
  • Track project progress independently and maintain open communication with both contractors and the Infill Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all local building codes and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, construction management, or a similar field.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with contractors and management remotely.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Reliable transportation for weekly site visits across the Springfield, MO area.
  • Knowledge of manufactured home construction or rehabilitation is an advantage.
  • Must provide own equipment and tools necessary to complete job duties.

Position Type:

  • Part-time (1099 contractor)
  • Estimated commitment: 10-15 hours per week

Compensation:

  • This is a part-time, 1099 contract position.
  • Estimated 10-15 hours per week with compensation based on completion of infill and rehab projects.
  • No benefits provided.
